My third son was recently married and I made this quilt for him and his new bride. I think this was one of my best quilts ever! I love how it turned out. It is the first quilt that I had someone else quilt for me. My new friend, Amy, inherited a long-arm machine and we bartered work from me for her quilting. I am pleased at how well it turned out. I was surprised at how expensive the thread was, but the variegated autumn theme was worth it in the end. Since I don't own a long-arm quilting machine, I am determined to learn how to do more than just straight lines on my 1979 Bernina. More to come...
